Whiff of Joy Challenges #101

Hi everyone! I hope you are all well. Thank you so much for all of the wonderful comments left for the Whiff of Joy 100th challenge blog hop! Each and every single comment was thoroughly appreciated :)

We have a new challenge for you today and it is a great one that I've been really loving recently... the 101st challenge at Whiff of Joy challenges is "Anything but square"! Ahh... sounds good doesn't it? So get your thinking caps on because we want to see all of your wonderful shaped cards.

I used Willow with Umbrella for my scallop circle card. I've cut the card out on my Cricut using SCAL. The gorgeous papers are from the new Crate Paper "Portrait" 6 inch pad. I love these gorgeous colours. The entire pad is just divine as well. I can see myself using this one a lot :)

So be sure to click over to the Whiff of Joy Challenge blog to check out the rest of the amazing DT creations. The girls have really gone all out for you this week! But then, they do every week - they are such a gorgeous and talented bunch of ladies.

Some challenges to enter this card into are:
Crafty Calendar - Spring
Totally Gorjuss - Spring has sprung
The Crazy Challenge - Sweet Teens
The ABC Challenge - R is for Roses
Stamp Something - Spring Somethings

Thanks for stopping in to see me today. Don't forget to enter my candy if you haven't already! It finishes April 1st so not long to wait now!

Tilda and her bunny visit Magnolia Down Under

Good morning! What do you have planned for your Sunday? I have to vacuum today, and do the grocery shopping, yuck, lol. Why can't grocery shopping be as much fun as clothes shopping? hahaha. Oh well, it has to be done and it is great when you've got a fully stocked fridge and panrty ready for the week.

This week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges we are getting all Shabby Chic! I've been poking around some gorgeous scrapbooking blogs lately and took my inspiration for this card from several ideas I've seen from those. I have used the adorable Tilda and her Bunny stamp from Butterfly Dreams Collection which was in the Spring Club set.

The adorable stamp is coloured with Copics: Skin- E 13, 11, 00, 000, 0000, R 21, 000, Hair - E 44, 42, 41, 0000, Green for shirt and bow: G 82, YG 61, Hat - R32, 30, 00, 0000, Pants - E 42, 41, 0000, Shoes - W 5, 3, 1, 0, Bunny - W 3, 1, 0, E 41, 0000, R 00.

The circle, leaves and flowers are cut using Doo Hickey dies from good watercolour paper. I have a heap left over from my pre-copic days. I just dabbed my green and pink ink pads on them and spritzed them with water so they had a light wash of colour. The rolled roses are cut using a "die namic" from My Favourite Things stamps. The paper is new Prima Spring Time and the large white flower is also Prima.  The label shape was cut on my Cricut using the SCAL software and a shape from SVG Cuts.

Here is the inside with the cute little sentiment from the Hoppy Easter 2010 collection. I've stamped the sentiment in Memento Rich Cocoa ink.

And my last photo is a litle bit dodgy, lol. I was holding the card directly in the sun trying to get the Spica pen to show in the photo. Tilda's pink hat is covered in Spica at You clear.

So that is my attempt at Shabby Chic. I'm sure I've missed an element here and there, lol, I think you're supposed to use some vintage lace as well, but I ran out of room on the card! haha.

I could love to enter this card in these challenges:
The Shabby Tea Room - Bingo! Gems, Flowers, Die Cuts
Just Magnolia - Bingo! Gems, Flowers, Ribbon
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Use Dies
Mafgnolia-licious challenge - Photo inspiration (Easter and pastels)
Magnolia-licious Highlites - Frame with a recipe
Magnolia-licious Highlites - Easter Extravaganta (I've used Tilda and her Bunny, Happy Easter, With This Small Miss, Doo hickey dies - Rose leaf, Vintage flowers and leaf)
All That Scraps - Challenge #8 - Flowers everywhere, pastels with a touch of brown

Thanks for your visit! I love reading all of your comments, they really brighten up my day :)
Hugs! Have a wonderful weekend,
Kylie xx

Thanks Ladies at TSTR! I am so thrilled!

Whiff of Joy April release - Prima Ballerina Nora!

Good morning! It is Saturday - woohoo! It is also time for sharing some serious cuteness with you. Whiff of Joy have a big release month for April and guess what? There are DIGI stamps, dies and sentiments!  Yes - a heap of goodies, but the most exciting are the digi stamps!

My first card to show you for April is "Prima Ballerina Nora". Isn't she adorable? I've been hoarding these MME Tickled Pink papers for a while now but Nora was just perfect for them so I had to cut into them.

Nora and the other amazing stamps will be available for purchase on April 1st so there isn't too long to wait!

Other Whiff of Joy goodies I've used on my card are two dies - "Heart Lace" and "Pennant Banner" and the fantastic button twine. I loooove this stuff! I decided to make a circle card...well... I had actually intended this card for another purpose later in the week, lol, but I loved it so much when it was finished I had to show you today, hahaha.

Nora is coloured with Copics: Skin - E 13, 11, 00, 000, 0000, R 21, 00, Hair - E 44, 42, 41, 0000, Dress - BG 72, 11, 10, 0000, Shoes- R 21, 00, 0000, Crown - Y 28, YR 15, Y23, YR 30.

I would love to enter these challenges:
Friday Sketchers - Fantastic sketch by Jeanette
Copic Creations - We've got the blues
Creative Inspirations - No square cards allowed!
Totally Gorjuss - Button it
The Shabby Tea Room - Bingo ( Buttons, Flowers, Glitter)

Easter Egg Hunt!

Hi! Happy Friday to you all :)

Do you have a fun weekend planned? Ours will be mostly quiet, but tomorrow afternoon I am off to the local Stampers Association meeting, so that will be fun!
Today I have "Tilda with Lace Jeans" to show you. She is from the new Butterfly Dreams collection. I've masked her behind the cute little mini "Two Eggs" (Hoppy Easter collection 2010) and stamped the New Years Swirl (New Year collection 2008) around the edge of the image.

I have used the amazing "Pion Design" papers again that my gorgeous friend Louise sent me - thank you Hunni! I am loving them! I've used two Doo Hickey dies, "Peony Petals" and "Romantic Lace", there is some of Tim Holtz's film strip ribbon in there and some coloured seam binding ribbon.  The crochet doily is Kaisercraft.

You can see a little peek of the inside of the card - I've actually decorated it too for a change, lol, but I didnt get any pics, sorry!  The large curly rose and the aster flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The silver photo corner is actually a brad! Cute hey?

Tilda is coloured with Copics: Skin - E 13, 11, 000, 0000, R 20, 00; Hair: E 44, 23, 41, 0000; Overalls: B 95, 23, 21; Shirt: E 42, 41, 0000; Bow: R37, 22, 00, 0000; Shoes: E 44, 42, 41; Eggs: G 82, 000, 0000, R 35, 20, 00, 0000; Hue: B 52, 0000; Ground: W 3, YG 61

And I would love to enter these challenges:
The Shabby Tea Room - bingo: (oh ! I can do two - Gems/Flowers/Die Cuts and Brads/Flowers/Ribbon!)

So thanks so much for stopping in to visit me today! Have a terrific weekend! And if you would like to enter my candy, please click HERE!

Hugs,
Kylie

Tilda with Stuffed Animal

Hehehe, yep, that is what she is called - Tilda with Stuffed Animal :) She's pretty cute isn't she? She is from the Butterfly Dreams collection and arrived in the Spring Club set. I just love how the Tilda's in this collection have hats on! Adorable. The gorgeous "Big Daisy" she is sitting on is from the Jingle Jangle collection, 2008.  LOL, yep, I had another go at masking. Ok, yes... getting addicted ;)

The lovely fresh papers are also Magnolia, a mix of Lazy Summer Days and Hoppy Easter. The sketch is from this week's Friday Sketchers.

I also want to enter these challenges:
Stamp with Fun - Spring
The Shabby Tea Room - Bingo (Gems, Flowers, Die cuts)
Stamp Something - Something Cute
I did It Creations - Welcome Spring
Have you ordered your Easter edition of the Magnolia Ink magazine yet? You don't want to miss out! There is a copy on its way to me this week and I am a tad excited - there is some of my work in this issue - my first one! I can't wait to see how it turned out. If you are in Australia and want a copy... head over to Tickled Pink Stamps to order one copy or a yearly subscription! Sounds good to me :)

The card featured on the cover for this issue is by the talented Tina. Congratulations Tina!

Thanks for dropping in to see my card today. I hope to have something else to show you soon.
Take care

Magnolia Down Under Challenges #88 - Jane's sketch

Good morning! I hope you have a wonderful Sunday planned.

We are hoping for a nice quiet day. We put our youngest son (20 months) in his 'big boy bed' for the first time last night as he is a rather large boy and was just too big for his cot :) So of course, we had a little bit of a sleepless night. He may have looked too big for his cot, but wow, he looks so little in his bed. Such a gorgeous little cherub :)

Anyway, you're here to see a card! This week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges we have a fantastic sketch to play with by gorgeous Jane.  I've used cute little "Tilda with Hawaiian flower" and "Tulip Walkway" both from the new Butterfly Dreams collection. If you are looking for this sweet Tilda, head over to Tickled Pink Stamps, Kellie has a preorder on right now for the Butterfly Dreams collection.

The papers are American Crafts and I've used a pretty 5 inch paper doily to frame Miss Tilda. Both images are coloured with Copics (of course). I really love Tilda's hair on this new stamp. So pretty!  I've gone a little bit shabby with my card, distressing the edges. I'm not really a massive fan of this but the paper I've used is a tad plain and I thought it would just dress the card up a bit.

The pink cherry blossom, cream rose and mini roses are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. The Butterflies are punched with my MS punch and the swirls are the Magnolia Doo Hickey Die.

Some challenges for this little Missy are:
Just Magnolia - Favourite Colours (blue, pink and mauve)

Thanks so much for stopping by and if you haven't already entered my candy, please feel free to check it out.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Fuzzy Wuzzy was a ....lion?

Hi there! Well, I promised I would be back and here I am with a little bit of cuteness for The Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges mid month reminder.

This month at The Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges we have a fantastic sketch to play with by our gorgeous Ingrid and we have the awesome sponsorship of Lili of the Valley stamps. We are very excited about that. I only had one LOTV animal stamp which I used for our main post so for our mid month reminder I have inked up the cutie pie Lion stamp from Magnolia instead. I have masked him in front of the Tip leaves, also by Magnolia. I'm not a big fan of masking, lol. I always end up with wonky scenes :) so I generally cut out my images instead. Yes, I know, I'm lazy :) I should get out my stamp a ma jig shouldn't I?  Well... I do love the result this time so I will just have to do that in the future.

The fun papers are MME Fine and Dandy "True Blue", perfect for this particular stamp I think. The sentiment is also Magnolia and the little zig zag edge on the blue cardstock is a new Magnolia doo hickey die.  Umm... what else did I want to tell you .... Oh! I've stamped the images in Memento Rich Cocoa instead of Tuxedo Black. Makes for a nice little change for an animal doesn't it? Normally I only do that if I want to make a more vintagey style card.

I also want to enter this card into these challenges:

So thanks for stopping by. We would love you to come and enter The Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges this month, so please check out the terrific sketch, I know I'll be using it again - thanks so much Ingrid!

And have a great weekend everyone!

Funny Kids

Good morning everyone :)

I just wanted to share with you a cute photo I took of my boys this morning.  They have lined all of my kitchen chairs up to create a bus, lol. Oh, they make me laugh. Of course, Mummy then had to "drive the bus", lol, and was instructed to go to "Poppy's farm" and then "Oma's house". So cute.

Lol, it looks like we even picked up a traffic cone in our travels. All of the chair cushions have been flipped up because my little guy can't get up on the chair with them down, he's still a little bit too short.

Anyway, I'll be back a bit later on with a card to show you :) I just had to share with you my Mummy Moment.

Thanks for having a look at my kids.

MDUC Birthday blog hop

(If you are looking for my Tickled Pink Stamps Lil Lads release blog hop post... please click HERE)

Hi!! And welcome to the Magnolia Down Under Challenges
SECOND BIRTHDAY BLOG HOP

We are all really excited to be having this hop. It has been a fabulous two years at Magnolia Down Under Challenges and we are thrilled to be celebrating our second birthday!  We have two amazing Guests joining us this week as well - Jodie and Stephanne. They are both long time members of the Design Team and have returned to help us celebrate - thank you so much girls, it means so much to us to have you join us!

It is also really exciting that we have TWO original Design Team members still with us to celebrate our second birthday - both Debbie P and Kristy were part of the original Design Team. It is a huge achievement to have them both still with us.  Kellie was also intending to join us for our hop but she unfortunately has come down with an illness and has had to pull out. Hope you are feeling better soon Kel!

We have four amazing sponsors lined up this week, and the challenge is "twos" so any combination of two things on your entry and you are in for a chance to win some goodies! There are also little candies along the hop from various Design Team members.

I also want to take this moment to thank every single member of the Magnolia Down Under Challenges Design Team - we are so very lucky to have such a fantastic group of talented, gorgeous girls. You make our challenge run like clockwork and your weekly dose of creativity is such an inspiration - not just to those playing along with the challenge, but to myself as well. You are truly a DT to be proud of and I am very lucky to call you all my friends.
You should have arrived here from KRISTY'S blog... but if you didn't, you  may llike to start the hop at the very beginning at ANNE'S blog.

For my card...I have used two images, two sheets of gorgeous Pion Design papers (a gift from my gorgeous friend Louise), both sides, two cherry blossoms, two asters, two rows of hearts.... umm...lol, I think that will do!

The stamps are "Tilda with Hanging Rabbit" from the new Butterfly Dreams collection and also the Spring Fence from the Hoppy Easter collection 2010.

Check out the amazing papers!!

I've coloured the images with Copics, and I was lucky enough to get a set of the 12 new colours and have had a ball using some of them on my card. The new E 81 and E87 are fantastic earthy green/brown tones and I've used them on the fence along with my favourite earth tones. The new BG 70 I used for the sky.

And just one more photo for fun :)

And here is a photo of my candy that is up for grabs... Just leave me a comment by next Saturday 19 March to win this little prize.  The winner will be announced here on my blog but also on the Magnolia Down Under Challenges blog next week.

The next stop on the hop is the amazing SHARON!! I am sure she has something beautiful to share with you. And if you get lost along the way, just stop by the Magnolia Down Under Challenges blog to see who was next.

Thank you so much for joining us on our very special 2nd birthday hop! Have a great time checking out everyone's work and don't forget to enter the challenge!

Hugs, Kylie xx

Tilda spreads Thanks

Yayayay!! It is Friday! So... what does everyone have planned for the weekend? I have my fingers crossed for a lot of craft time, yes, like most weekends, but also hoping for dry weather so we can get a lot more gardening done as well. We have had an unusually wet summer so the garden has just been alive with weeds. The joys of having a large garden I suppose! So with a little bit of luck we should get ahead of them this weekend.

On a bit more of a fun note, there are two big blog hops happening this weekend... so keep your eyes peeled... there are lots of prizes to be won!

This card I am sharing with you today is actually one I began for last weekend's Magnolia Down Under Challenge "Anything but a square" but it just wasn't working for me in time so I made a different card instead. I finally got it finished though this week and can show it to you now. I don't like unfinished cards sitting around on my desk :)  If you still want to enter the challenge, you have until 8am tomorrrow morning... so about 12 hours to go!

This is "Tilda Spreads Love" from the You are So Special Collection. Oh my goodness - there were so many "must have" stamps from that collection. I do think I went a little bit overboard, but oh well.. it is fun to spoil yourself sometimes, haha.

I used my Cricut and the SCAL software to cut out the hearts for the heart shaped easel card. The papers are BG Olivia and there is a fair amount of stickles and rhinestones added to the card as well.  The "Thanks a bunch" senitment on the tag is by Whiff of Joy from their "General Sayings" set - I love this set :)

I would love to enter my card in these challenges:

So I'll see you back here for lots of fun over the weekend! Thanks for dropping in :)

Tickled Pink Stamps preview - Lil Lads: Stephan

Ohhh.... It is day four of the Tickled Pink Stamps March Lil Lads release!

Today's release is the hunky Stephan the surfie dude :) When I saw the new releases I could not wait to colour up Stephan! I grew up on the NSW South Coast, so there were a lot of surfers around. I love the beach (although you wouldn't really think so to look at me now, lol) so this stamp reminded me of my childhood.

I coloured Stephan's skin just a bit darker than normal to give him a bit of a tan and used the bright sunny papers from MME's Fine and Dandy True Blue stack.  I have also used one of the terrific new sentiments by Ann Vento as well.

These images will be released for sale on the 13th along with our big release blog hop, an event not to be missed!

Make sure you check out the rest of the amazing creations by the DT on the Tickled Pink Stamps blog! They are not to be missed!

Whiff of Joy - Miss Ladybugs

Hi everyone, back again, lol. I got for days without anything to share and today I have two cards! This is the adorable "Miss Ladybugs" from Whiff of Joy to share with you. She was part of the Spring Kit, but is now available for individual purchase.

There is also a new Summer Kit available for pre order... check out the details HERE...these kits are fantastic value - there was an entire A4 sheet of rubber containing 7 figures, three accessories and a sentiment in the Spring Kit.

I've used some old MME "Bloom and Grow" papers mixed with some Kaisercraft (green dots) for my card. The sweet image actually has little ladybugs in her hands flying away but I cut them off, so added the little gold butterfly and heart charms instead.

I would like to enter this card in these challenges:
The Cuttlebug Spot - Oh so Charming (I have used my Cuttlebug with the Oval and Scalloped Oval nestabilities and the Outside the Nestie technique)

Thanks for dropping back in. Sorry if I have been quiet lately, I seem to be sitting at my desk a lot but not getting much finished. Its strange how sometimes you can make card after card, and others just sit there and colour images which don't make it to cards, lol. Anyway, I made two cards last night, this one and another, which I will show you in a few days. And I have a Tickled Pink Stamps preview to share with you tonight as well. I hope you are enjoying all of the fabulous new Lil Lads the Pink Ladies have been sharing. Don't forget about the release blog hop on the 13th as well.

Have a great day!

Sweet Pea's Arden

Good morning! I am back today with another little teaser for you for Lime Tart. This is a card I have made with Sweet Pea's Arden using the Lime Tart A la Tarte March kit.... but to see more... yep, you guessed it - you will have to pop over to the Zest Blog to check it out!

Here is a pic of all the goodies contained in the A la Tarte kit....

Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back a  bit later with something else to share with you.

Tickled Pink Stamps preview - Lil Lads: Eric

Oh wow - it is time for our next Tickled Pink Stamps release! This time we have something extra fun up our sleeves... Lil Lads - a whole set of them. Yay! There just are not enough good boy stamps out there so Kellie and the amazing Designer Christina Dee have come up with these guys.

And, not only Lil Lads are being released this month, but also fantastic sentiments by the gorgeous Ann Vento as well.

Today's release is Lil Lad Eric. He is our "nerdy" but cool Lil Lad. I think he has to be my favourite from the collection

There is a Lad being released every day this week, finishing up with a blog hop and release on the 13th. You don't want to miss out what the Pink Ladies have cooked up for you with these Lads so make sure you check out Tickled Pink Stamps blog each day.

I also wanted to enter this card into these challenges:
Alphabet Challenge - R is for Ribbons

Be My Valentine Tilda for Magnolia Down Under Challenge #86

Good morning! It is Magnolia Down Under Challenges time again! This week we are looking for - "Anything but a square (or rectangle)".... I have gone with a label shaped card, cut using my Cricut and the SCAL software.

This adorable Tilda is "Be My Valentine Tilda" from the "You are So Special" collection. I was so tempted to use one of the new cuties from the Spring Club which arrived this week, but I had already coloured this Tilda and it was such a shame not to use her. I'm sure the newbies will be coloured and making their way to cards very soon! hahaha.

I've coloured Tilda with my Copics and have gone for a much softer look with my colouring. I have to say, this subtle affect is much more "me". The photos don't show it very well, but there is some Copic Spica at You "clear" on Tilda's flowers and the lace on her dress hem and hair.

The lovely papers are Websters minis (I think Lullaby Lane). The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts. There are also some buttons for fun.

I would love to enter this card in these challenges:

The Magnolia Down Under Challenge "Anything but Square" challenge runs until 8am Saturday (Melbourne, Australian time) so please drop by and check out the fabulous DT inspiration and try your luck!

Thanks for visiting me today :)

Zooming Along with The Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges...

Gosh - where has the week gone? All of a sudden it is Friday again. But it is also the first Friday of the month so that means.... a new challenge at The Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges! This month we are sponsored by Lili of the Valley and have a fabulous sketch to play with by our wonderful Ingrid. Thanks so much Ingrid - I loved this sketch!

I have used the cute little "Zooming Along" stamp from Lili of the Valley. He is such a cute bear.

The papers are Basic Grey Oliver.

Our challenge runs all month long so there is plenty of time to enter, we'd love to see what you do with Ingrid's sketch :)

Have a great weekend!

03 March 2011

Tickled Pink Stamps sponsors.....

I had this card all ready to show you on Monday when the Cupcake Crafts Challenge went up... but I had to wait, lol. Tickled Pink Stamps are sponsoring three challenges this week and Cupcake Crafts Challenges is one of them.

This is my last card as a Guest DT member for Cupcake Crafts Challenges. It has been a wonderful four weeks playing along with the girls. The challenge this week is "Anything but Square" so I thought I'd make a Cupcake shaped card :) It felt appropriate, lol. As Tickled Pink Stamps are sponsoring the challenge, I've used the gorgeous "Kellita" from Tickled Pink Stamps for my card.

Tickled Pink Stamps is also sponsoring Bearly Mine with the challenge of "Birthday" and Do You Stack Up who's challenge is "Green" so I have tried to incorporate both of these into my card as well.

The sentiment is also Tickled Pink Stamps, from the Valentines sentiment collection. The cream flower on top is from Wild Orchid Crafts. Don't you think it looks like whipped cream? I'll admit, it was a fluke, but I had a bit of a chuckle when I was playing around attaching the flowers.

Thanks for popping by, tomorrow there is a new challenge over at The Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges to share with you so make sure you pop back then.
Have a great day,
Hugs

Thanks for dropping in, I'll be back later with a card to share with you. Until then, have a great day!

Whiff of Joy challenges #99 and Whiff of Joy March release preview

Happy Wednesday everyone! It is time for the next Whiff of Joy Challenge... and this time we are looking for blooms and buttons, a nice easy one for you.

I have used one of the gorgeous new stamps from the Spring Kit which is now available for purchase individually, she is called Spring Leap.  I've also used the gorgeous paper pad by Graphic 45 "Once Upon a Springtime" from Lime Tart.

I've used the fabby sketch by Claudia at Friday Sketchers this week (by the way, Tickled Pink Stamps are sponsoring Friday Sketchers this week, so if Claudia's awesome sketch isn't enough to entice you to play along perhaps the great prize will be??).

I've cut around some of the flowers on the DP to use as embellishments. The little cream flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the flat flowers are Kaisercraft. The sentiment is cut from one of the labels in the Whiff of Joy Spring Paper pad and I've used the new button twine to tie on my buttons.

As well as Friday Sketchers, I also want to enter these challenges:
The ABC Challenge - P is for Pink
Bunny Zoes Crafts - Spring flowers everywhere
Everybody Art Challenge - Spring
Wild Orchid Crafts - Anything Goes
Stamp Something - Something with Flowers

So please check out the Whiff of Joy challenge this fortnight! The DT have done an amazing job creating some gorgeous examples for you.

I'll be back tomorrow to show you some Lime Tart goodies for March!
Have a great day,
Hugs Kylie
