Tilda with Corkscrews

Good morning, once again, I am late with my posting. But the good news is - we are almost ready to move into our new house and life will go back to normal - what ever that is.

I've practiced a little with the Distress Inks. I ordered some Langton paper from Sir Stamp a Lot - and WOW - what a difference it makes. It can take a lot more punishment than other papers I've tried, and there is no pilling from over colouring in areas. I'm impressed!  I've inked "Tilda with Corkscrews" from the new collection and "Tilda's Castle" from the "Princeses and Princesses" collection of 2012.

I have also used some of the amazing new dies from the new collection - Peacock feathers and Lace Coaster. Amazing. The papers are also Magnolia. Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and The Ribbon Girl
I hope you get a chance to play along with the challenges.

Until next weekend,

Captain Edwin for the birthday boy

It is Sketchy Challenges time again!
This fortnight we have a fantastic sketch by Colleen to play with.

My boys were invited to a friend's birthday party so I made a card for our birthday boy, Korbin using Captain Edwin from the Fairytale collection from back in 2010.

I have been inspired recently to have another try at Zoe's "lineless colouring" so have stamped Edwin with Memento in light blue before coloring with markers.

Colleen's sketch is a great versatile on to play with and we are sponsored generously by Whiff of Joy stamps so loads of incentive there to come and play along.  Hope to see you there!

Magnolia Down Under Challenges - Sketch

Hey everyone, I hope you have all had a wonderful Easter. We're all recovering today from chocolate hang overs. he he he. Good thing it only happens once a year!

I made this card for Magnolia Down Under Challenges - a sketch using this cute stamp from the Christmas collection. She is such a cutie!

The challenge this week is a sketch by me. We would love see what you do with it.

I love the new Magnolia Doo Hickey dies - this one is the new feathers one. So cute!

I have another card to share with you too for this weekend, so I will be back later.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter friends. The Easter Bunny has visited and we are looking forward to a relaxing day.

Yesterday I was at the grocery store and found this cute little pot of daffodils in the crochet cover. Adorable! it is autumn over here so its lovely to see spring flowers. I immediately thought of these little cuties and wanted to decorate.

I made a little tag to go with it and used one of my fav Easter stamps and sentiments.

All of the gorgeous flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts. I just love the daffodil.
The rusty bell and lace is from The Ribbon Girl.

That is it from me this morning.
The Sketchy Challenges has a DT call running... if you want to check it out, click over here...

I do have a couple more things to share with you this weekend, so I'll be back!

Celebrating Easter

Long time no blogging! How are you all? Well I hope.
Things here are really very hectic with the new house, the boys and work.
The new house is coming along well. This week we will see the gyprock go in, (thats dry wall for my US friends), so hopefully in the next 6 weeks we will be in the new house :) Oh wow, we are looking forward to that.
Well... I am a week late with my post... but thankfully my card actually fits the challenge at MDUC this week as well! This week at MDUC we are sponsored by Magnolia Stamps - yes! THE Magnolia Stamps. We are very excited to have snaffled them as a regular sponsor. Thank you so much Magnolia!

For my card I have used this little cutie from the Little Easter collection, masked with the Spring Fence from a couple of years ago.
The sketch is a lovely one my gorgeous Jane for The Sketchy Challenges. There is still a week to go over there with the challenge, so head on over and check it out.
We are about to post a DT Call over at Sketchy so make sure you check it out. We are looking for two new people to join us over there.

I hope to be back again soon to share something else with you. My craft desk is currently covered in stuff for the house.... invoices, colour swatches, you name it.

Have a great week and take care
