All things grow better with Love

What's this? A water coloured image? wow, yes it has been a little while since I did one of these. And I am waaaay out of practice. It was kind of fun though so expect to see me practicing a bit more :)

The new Magnolia stamp club arrived in my mail box yesterday. The new stamps are so cute! I couldn't wait to ink up this little beauty.  I've masked her with a background stamp from Butterfly Dreams 2011, Stone Path, I thought the pretty flowers went well together.

The papers are new from Kaisercraft, Botanicals. I do love a lavender and green combo.
All of the embellishments are from the Ribbon Girl.

A little close up of my kind of rough painting..... lots of practice is needed.... so watch this space!
I hope you enjoy the rest of your week xx

Blogging in the tulips

Doesn't everyone? Just lay in a patch of tulips to blog? No?
haha, ok, no, I don't either. I just thought it was cute for Tilda to hang out with her laptop in the garden.

This is Follow Me Tilda from the WWW15 collection. She is masked with an older stamp - I think  2008/2009 but I can't be sure and I can't find her online :(

I've used a couple of doo hickey dies, spellbinders, and for a change, a punch! Wow, it feels like ages since I used a punch.

The pretty lace and flowers are from the Ribbon Girls.

The papers are Kaisercraft. Edges inked with DI Vintage Photo.
Well, that's it from me for today!
See you soon x

Ribbon Girl July Card challenge

Happy Sunday friends,
Its Ribbon Girl Card challenge day and this week we're looking for Anything Goes with the option of Stars or Stripes.  I've gone with both.

I have paired Mail Tilda (WWW15) with loads of gorgeous Ribbon Girl goodies - Bark stars, Starburst Stamen Lilac, 16mm Lilac Velvet ribbon, 5mm Lilac Crystals, 1 Beaded Berries Lilac/Purple/White, Mocha 10mm Open Roses, 25mm Faux Hession natural, Buttermilk Tiny Ric Rac, Taupe Pretty Blossoms flowers

For a change I've gone with a sepia style of colouring, using the E40-E49 range of Copics. All of the distressing is done with DI Vintage Photo.  The cute negative frame around Tilda is by Darkroom Door.   The card base is cut using a Spellbinders set.

I hope you get a chance to come and play at the Ribbon Girl card challenge

I have another card to share with you later on in the week,
Until then, have a great week!

Little Sunshine

Good morning friends,
I have been having a little fun at my craft desk with the new Shadow stamps "Little sunshine" and a newbie Tilda, Tilda with kneesocks from the "Sakura" collection.

Tilda has been coloured with copics and the background has been created by colouring the shadow stamps with water markers. It was fun to experiment with shadow stamps, I have to say, it has been a while since I have had a play with stamps that are not outlines.

The card is a fairly bright and colourful :) Its winter here and has been a dark and rainy week, I was in the mood for some bright colours to cheer the house up.

I hope you have a fun weekend of crafting planned!
Until later, Kylie xx

Happy birthday Pop

Hi all,
Something a little different for me today - I dug out a LOTV stamp that has been sitting in my collection for probably 4-5 years that has never before seen ink (um mah!!)

Today is my Dad's birthday so I made a card for him. He adores my two little boys so I bought this stamp with both Dad and my boys in mind... just never got around to using it until last night.

It is a gorgeous image, two little boys sharing a milkshake.... there is only one thing wrong with it - what little kids share?? Very rarely I would think! At least in this house.

The papers are Studio Calico (I think). All of the embellishments are from the Ribbon Girl
The image is of course coloured with Copics.

It was heaps of fun to use a LOTV stamp for a change, it has been a while!
I might get my others out for a bit of a play.

Dad liked his birthday card with the little boys on it so I am happy.
I'll be back soon with some more to share, I have some new stamps on their way to me so hopefully Mr Postie visits Monday so I can get cracking.
Until then, have a great weekend xx
